?Dining Halls & Eateries
Queen's Hospitality Services is pleased to offer a wide variety of options at convenient locations across campus. All of our eateries on campus offer a variety of healthy options to accommodate the diversity of student needs.
Dietary Icons: All of our dining hall menus are marked with dietary icons, including vegetarian, vegan, and Get the Good Stuff? stickers to let you know if a food item is prepared to meet your dietary needs or preferences.?
COVID-19 protocols: Please note that due to COVID-19, a limited number of locations are currently open on campus. When visiting these locations, expect new procedures and policies, including physical distancing, barriers, and increased cleaning standards. These policies and standards are important to keep both our students and staff safe during this time. For further information regarding COVID-19 precautions and expectations in our dining locations, please visit?https://dining.queensu.ca/covid-19-information/.
Dining Halls & Meal Plans
Located within three of Queen's residences, Ban Righ, Leonard, and Jean Royce Dining Halls welcome our students to enjoy nutritious and delicious meals.
Students in residence enjoy a diverse food environment with their Residence Meal Plan. The residence meal plan included in residence fees provides students with the opportunity to enjoy dining in all three of the dining halls and all retail locations across campus.?
This unique meal plan features 19 all-you-care-to-eat meals per week, 200 Trade a Meal's (TAM's), and $150 flex $. TAM's are opportunities for students on the meal plan to trade up to 200 dining hall meals for a designated meal in a retail food location, adding flexibility and diversity to their everyday meals. Flex $ are additional funds loaded onto a student card for use at any of our retail locations on campus.?
Dietary Accommodations
We know it can be hard to manage dietary needs in a new place – we're here to help you. If you have yet to contact Hospitality Services about dietary accommodations, or if you have, but you continue to have concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our office at 613-533-2953 or by emailing?dining@queensu.ca.?
When eating on campus, please ask a staff member for assistance if you have any questions about meals or ingredients. For more information, visit our website at?dining.queensu.ca/dietary-accommodations/
Allergies
At Queen's University, we take allergies and dietary needs very seriously. We support students who require dietary accommodations by providing information and knowledge essential to make informed choices while dining on campus and participating in the university experience.?
We encourage all students and visitors to "Ask Before They Eat": please ask to speak with a chef about safe dining options if you have any dining concerns. For more information on dining with allergies and how we can help, please visit our website at?dining.queensu.ca/dining-with-allergies/.
?
True balance stations feature foods made without allergens with special consideration to minimize cross-contamination.
You can meet with a registered dietitian or our campus executive chef to discuss your nutritional needs and health concerns.

Food Off Campus
It is said that Kingston has the most restaurants per capita of anywhere in Canada, many of which are in the downtown core. The blue pins in the image below show some (not all!) approximate dining/food locations within easy walking distance of campus. Find more details on the Downtown Kingston Dine page...
If you have a craving for a good home-cooked meal, there are several places to buy groceries within walking distance of campus, and a few others a short bike/bus/car-ride away.
During the fall and winter terms, on Tuesday nights between 5 and 8:30 pm, Loblaws at the Kingston Centreoffers a free shuttle service to and from campus. Call the store at 613-530-3861 or pick up a flyer in-store for pick-up times and locations.
